This seems like a perfectly logical way to eat an Eggo.
Where did my baby go? And who is this little man walking everywhere?
13 months old!
Some big things have changed since Travis’ 1st birthday! He is now a proficient walker, and he has learned how to stand up in the middle of a room (without pulling up on something/someone first). He still takes two naps, even though the second one is a little less predictable. He wakes up around 8:30ish in the morning, and his first nap starts about two hours after he gets up. It lasts about 2 to 2.75 hours long. His second nap is an hour or a little more, and it starts three hours after he wakes up from his first nap.
With respect to food, he has gotten much more adventurous! Travis is almost solely eating finger foods at this point. He now eats banana pieces, turkey sausage, black beans, peas, blueberries, cheerios, english muffin bites, sweet potatoes, carrots, corn, green beans, and spoonfuls of rice with tomatoes and red pepper. While out to eat, he has had mushrooms, bites of hamburger, and pieces of sweet potato fries from our meals. He eats three baby/toddler yogurts a day, and he flaps his little arms in wild excitement when he sees them coming! His drink to play ratio has increased with his sippy cup of milk, which has been a great accomplishment over the past week! I only nurse him when he wakes up in the morning and before I put him to bed, and he is starting to lose a little interest in the bedtime session.
In terms of teeth, he still has the bottom two and the top two are almost all of the way through. He is working on the two on the outside of the top two, and there have been a lot of whiny afternoons and low grade fevers from teething.
He hasn’t increased his vocabulary at all this month. He babbles A LOT, but nothing makes much sense. He seems like he has a lot that he wants to share with us though!
Travis loves to play with his little puppy dog Sugar. And by play, I mean chase her around, throw things at her, and smack her in the face. We are working on him petting gently. He can do it if someone is there to help him out. Poor Sugar is even more skittish than she used to be, but she is a great sport!
He plays HARD! I don’t know why I didn’t really expect for him to sweat, but I often am amazed at how often his little head is damp from playing. He is so great at keeping himself occupied with his toys, but he lets me know when he is ready to bust free from our baby proofed living room. We have had to add more gates and cabinet locks this week, thanks to the help of Grandpa! The kitchen and our bathrooms are now Travis-safe, yahoo!
Travis is such a little ham. He laughs when you laugh at him, but he freaks when you take something away from him. The second that you give it back, he starts smiling and runs away. What a stinker. He definitely knows what he wants!!
I constantly look at him and ask myself where my little boy went. He is growing up so so fast! I look forward to what the next month brings!
Happy Masters Sunday yall! Brian had the pleasure of being asked to go to Monday’s practice round, and he brought us home some cool Masters gear! We obviously had to get a photo shoot of my two boys in their Augusta National green.
On a side note, I like some of the faces that Travis is making in these. He definitely is a full blown toddler now!
Travis just ate half of a banana for part of his breakfast! This is a monumental day, people! He has been rejecting pieces of banana from his Daddy forever. He loved banana purée, but the little pieces threw him off. For someone who has been so picky all week, this seems like a little victory!
